WWVU-FM

During the summer of 2022, a group of fellow WWVU-FM old-timers came together to help keep the station on the air during a tough stretch. Our Alumni Takeover was a big success, and I was able to archive most of my shows, all of which were done remotely from my home studio/spare bedroom. I’ve got a box of old aircheck tapes from the nineties around here somewhere, too—if I ever get around to digitizing them, I’ll add them to the archive. In the meantime, here are a couple favorites.

My first show of the summer, and kind of a mission statement for what I’d be playing. Tons of eighties and nineties college alternative hits with a smattering of new tunes that had caught my attention.

This show features an interview with Joe Andreoli of Giraffes? Giraffes!, who sticks around to program a really cool set in the third hour.

This one is a sentimental favorite because it features a guest appearance from my son Leo, who got to introduce and choose a set of music, starting with Guided By Voices’ “Glad Girls.”

Lots more over there on my YouTube channel—and hopefully more to come in the future!
